A battlefield2 thread

OMFG This game is making me SO BLOOMIN ANGRY. I was just having the best round of my life. We were loosing early on but had just retaken the map thanks largly to my nifty tanking :), was 20 points clear of the nearest person on my team. Then, Crash to Friggen desktop.

Why is it every time i sit down to play this game now, something makes my blood boil. I love the game, it has some amazing moments, but it also has some damn awful ones. In part, i feel the fact this game is any way tied to EA is to blame.

Please stop wining, if everyone screamed "NERF EVERYTHING" then the game would be reduced to a dull chore. If someone is getting points with a blackhawk then think of novel ways to get rid of them, it is really not that hard to shoot it with any of the ground vehicles from a distance, not to mention firing the AA rockets at it, which providing a number of your teammates are doing, the chopper goes down sharpish
 
tell you what flying around in a blackhawk with a good squad is great fun racking up the points and being a whore but i`ll tell u what is even more fun....

taking it down yourself and getting all the points for it.

aim for the tail section thats what i find to be the weakest spot on it.
 
get a chopper fly above the black hawk, bail out ( as spec ops) as you paracute down throw your sachels over it, then ka booooom :D

yes, but then your team will swear at you for wasting a chopper.

I play quite happily on 512mb at the moment.
Games have been running better with more ram for a while and the maps are a lot more intricate than any other game. I only ever play on 32 map sizes so loading times are not that bad. About just enough time for bladder relief :)

Not that bad IYO but by the time you get in i'll have capped 2 bases and be at your third. :D

Yeah we don't like to but if people constantly exploit an unbalanced element of the game we will do what we can to stop them.

I bet at least half of your supposed 20,000 were from Blackhawk whoring, lol. Oh well, I know my 20,000 was from ground combat and being brave unlike you cowards in the sky. :D

Why not just re-join? :confused: You wouldn't have lost your points.

If you kept up with the community you'd see what the general consensus is with regards to what needs 'nerfed'. Not 'everything', that's just stupid. The TK issue and the blackhawk issue are 2 of the biggest and they are being addressed in the next patch, which is a direct response from Dice/EA after listening to the community. ;)

As for being able to take it down, it's easy enough on some levels, but we all know what levels it's not so easy on.

As I said earlier, remember the M60? Do you think they should have kept that as it was 1.00?

Why would anyone on your team object to you taking out a full enemy Blackhawk!!!! :confused:

What are you supposed to do? Ask them politley to land and get them to vacate the chopper so your team can have a shot? :p
 
Well you sometimes get a couple of morons controlling helicopters, telling you to get in the helicopter then going full speed into either a hill or allied forces.

Okay uber computer owner that sounds logical but it takes me that long to get past the splash screen, log into account server, refresh the multiplayer, find the server I was on, log on (if its not now full) and then load. I would think there is a distinct possibilty that the round is over by now :/
(I've not really had a ctd problem btw.)

The blackhawk is good as it is now but will be improved immensely by removing the engineer in house repair ability. Having him be forced to jump out to repair will make it brilliant and invoke more teamwork.

Its great to have to run and hide when it flies past you and you have nothing to throw at it - makes the game more exciting. As people have been saying the sight of a blackhawk should inspire team work in the opposite team, a tank along with an antitank man and a few machine guns should bring it down in a few seconds.
 
The tanks are too efficient against ground troops. I demand you should be able to blow up a tank with a normal rifle with 3 shots to make the game more balanced.

I totally agree. Also i want my Slingshot Catapult to take down attack choppers with 1 rock not 2, pfffff. Its real hard finding the right size pebbles u know. ;) :D


I still think that these global stats have turned normal fun gamers into complete
A holes. :p


Ive had some great games on unranked recently. Loads of teamwork loads of typing fun comments and generally just having a scream.
Games are for fun. ;)

Actually I prefer to spend my time playing the game rather than whining on EA's forums. I would safely say that the number of people who just get on with the game far outweighs those that complain about it, people that enjoy the game as it is tend to play the game rather than post how great it is which falsely imbalances the proportion of players that EA are addressing the issue for.

Or even warn the gunner beforehand and let him take over, unless you ran off with a chopper half empty like a lot do!
