it adds your most recently played servers in tehre aswell.

purple heart is bad you need 5 kills to 20deaths minium in one round. oneo f the ocuk folk got one tonight.
 
ive got the sniper unlock and still its hopeless, sniping is truly ineffective in this game unless you either get seriously lucky or your target put a big dartboard on his head and stands still for 5 minutes while i unload 5 bullets in his head.
 
Got it working on multiplayer after the account logon issues, and have had enormous fun playing it. Spec Ops seems my favoured profession (blowing up artillery/command posts/bridges etc), followed by Assault. Got to something like Corporal rank and an unlock.

Being an engineer in a chopper with a pilot who knows how to fly is unbelieveable. Was in an attack chopper and we alone captured 2 flags, just by hovering and flying around/under bridges etc. Did a similar strategy with a Huey and it was amazing. Inspired, I had a go with a chopper and kinda spun round, flipped over and landed upside down and blew up! It was embarassing. How do these guys fly sooo well? I have a USB joystick plugged in (and mapped), so might have to practise offline/empty server. Any tips?
 
I have 1 unlock available at the moment. Dont know what to choose, As i dont understand HOW you then get the weapon once you have choosen to unlock it, as all the weapons presently are already decided for each class, eg: medic, anti-tank, sniper etc, so if i choose a new weapon, say a new sniper rifle, how do i get to use that weapon.?


As for the purple heart, well im new, slowly learning the game. The action is very fast at times. But the purple heart is on the medal etc page, so I presume it is one you need to earn. Also when you earn some medals it says eg: "satisfactory" is that it, any way of getting that medal in say "outstanding" or is that it ?

re. the helicopter, I just started up sp and practised flying the blackhawk's then I perfected it (kinda) in mp. All I use is the mouse and keyboard and imo it's just as good as a joystick, the only trouble I have is hovering after flying around like a madman. The only real problem I have is flying a plane, no matter what I do I keep crashing the damn thing.
 
1. to use the unlocked weapon when playing you press the little button next to the weapon that has 2 little arrows on it that are yellow on the select a kit screen, so if you wanted the medics other gun, click on medic and next to the pic of his gun click the arrows and the gun changes to the new one you have unlocked.

2. Yes you can get outstanding medals but you really do have to be outstanding to get them!

3.The symbol only apears when you are a medic and it means that a friendly unit has been killed but you can reveive him with your electric panel thing, you know the shockers, i forget what they are called. Once this symbol has dissapeared you cannot reveive the fallen teammate.

ok well when you unlock a gun, you then get the choice in the game to switch between the standard and the unlocked gun. if you play as a medic get the medic gun, but if not well only you can choose really, unlock the gun for the person you most play as i guess?

purple heart is part of the learning process i have one :p :(

and yeah the red lighting thing is someone who is dying, if you are a medic you can get to him and bring him back to life, and get points for it. you have limited time, 10 or 15 seconds i think.
 
I've got myself a copy of special forces and have been told that I can use the weapons from SF in normal BF2. So I played some SF for a while and decided to play some normal BF2, only the weapons aren't there. Can someone tell me how I can do this please.

i did not think that was true, you can use weapons you unlock, but not the new weapons like the missile launcher

Great, I'll just practise on sp, so no-one will see some of my terrible moments and get called all sorts of names under the sun.

Another thing that springs to mind are the zip-lines and grappling hooks. Says in the readme that they're in the cyclicable weapon menu - but I can't make it work. Can't even find them. Do I have to have a higher rank or something, or is it only available to people with the expansion? Zip lines could prove kinda useful on a couple of maps...
 
Hi all, I just got a set of medusa 5.1 headphones now :) up till now I have been mostly just using the play now button which as you know just throws you into any old game and been playing lone wolf . A while back I joined in with a few of you guys one night and we all played on the same server, I remember cokecan being on there, think because he shot me the most,lol. just wondering if you all still use that server, 50 clicks I think??

Also this last week i have noticed my ping rate has shot up over 150, and up till then it has always been around and below the 30 mark :confused: to be honest i dont really know much about pings, but just worried a bit as one server i played on kicked me for high ping and has also banned me from returning :( Is there any way of getting it down? thanks all
 
Easy, filter by `multiplay` look for 50klicks, click as favorites. As for ping, chances are you've just been playing on US servers or something.
