or stops one that is fibrillating already!

so... you should be able to kill the enemy (and team mates) with a defibrillator!

you can kill enemies with it, just not team mates, if you could kill team mates with it could you imagine what the smacktards would do, i am waiting for a vehicle, ZAP, they stela it and drive off, cos the defib always kills in one unlike the knife.

I got BF2:SF today, it runs but for some reason the gameplay is so choppy that it becomes unplayable at times! The thing is, BF2 works like a dream. I've even knocked the options down in SF but it hasn't made the slightest difference. All I get is non-stop disc access as soon as I spawn on a map. It settles down but then when I move it goes mental again.

Like I said though, BF2 runs just fine with the settings at high.

sf is like that it was just so rushed , and yes setting sound to software will cure a lot of problems.
 
Im thinking about buying BF2. I got put off months ago because the demo was really buggy. Has it been improved much? Its either BF2 or quake 4 im getting.

I am worried i have no life anymore as i keep playing this damn game and only had it 4 - 5 days!!! and thats without the SF pack. Not bought that yet.
 
It has ea stamped o *** front of it, which is synonomous with unfinished at buggy. sf is a waste of moeny its bugged to hell and unplayable. bf2 fixes bugs in a patch, then adds a whole lot more, then you get another patch which doesnt fix anything and causes more bugs, the latest patch 1.12 has caused a complete slowdown of hte entire game. the first two patches released for it caused memory leaks, the retail 1.0 version had a potential memory leak aswell. sf is unplayable because there are far too many different objects in the map, all they did was create some new maps, skins and guns and sold it, its nothing special.
 
Many thanks to the two of you who suggested turning sound to 'software' instead of 'hardware', that helped so much. Now, I just get a bit of HDD activity at the start of a map and then it calms down. I guess that'll be reduced even further when I up my RAM from 1GB to 2GB later this week.

If I remember correctly, didn't BF2 have the same problem? If the sound was on 'hardware' even people with some serious systems encountered problems.
 
Hehe played on the50klicks server and got pwned. A couple more n00b questions:

How do you add clan tags? I noticed a few people with [OcUK] (if I'm allowed to use it :p), or is it part of your soldier's name?

Also, my character doesn't seem to have any stats despite playing on ranked servers, I take it there is a delay before they update?
 
Just put OcUk in the prefix box on the login screen. Some people such as myself have had OcUk as part of there name when they signed up. Sometimes stats don't update for a while so give it a few hours.

A ha, great advice there :) Thought i would have needed to set up a new account.

Just had a game tonight and i was in the black hawk all the time sitting on the edge with an **5, and they guys on the gatlings gave me 77 kill assists :cool: then we won, 144 points and not a single kill, not goign to argue with that.

Was a pleasure to kill u, if u saw someone bunny hoping on your corpse; that would be me gloating, lol. :D

My ingame name is SgtSixpack, I tend to play with that name for FPS; although I play america's army:sf with banned_sixpack cause some smacktard stole my 52 honour acc to run hacks with it. Now at 50honour.
