Incidently, my partners lad went for the support unlock as opposed to the sniper one - he prefers the support class, although I find sniping quite relaxing in a good position.

it should get better after the patch. its not t hat your lame, its these guns that are utter crap.
i managed a 450m kill the other day with the m24, you wouldnt believe how far down the crosshair i had to use... :rolleyes:

it would be nice to be that 1337 sniper on the grassy knoll, pwning the enemy, but EA/DICE are sniper haters...

I can see why though, constantly being picked off by an enemy you can't see can quickly spoil the game for some people. I don't mind it when it happens at the mo - its part of the game. Yesterday I killed one guy 8 times in ten mins - he started a kick vote for my invisibility hack combined with a aimbot!

but its ok for all vehicles and n00b tubes to kill people instantly... ? and to be outgunned by g36's ??

makes me so :mad:
 
just played this again last night after i hadnt played it since near enough when it was released lol, its amazing how different it feels now, went out and bought the expansion as well for a laugh (well it was only £15 :p) might be on and off the 50klicks server now and then, dont play it very often though
 
I've got a stupid question!

How is it that when me and my mate join a server we always seem to be put on different sides, regardless of whether it says it has team balance or not? It's starting to get very frustrating.

Would forming a clan help to keep us on the same side? Or have we got to keep hunting around for servers which allow us to join the same team?
 
the servers dont recognise whether you're in a clan or not, theres not much you can do about it other than wait until someone leaves one of the teams and then switch.
 
The server you join automatically puts players on each team so that both sides are as equal as possible. You can swop though of course at times though
 
I was having a good time tonight with a fe of you guys but for some strange reason my FPS droped to 5 for about a minute then went back to normal. The next level loaded and it seemed okay for a minute then the screen kept going black then comming back to the game.

I restarted the game but it just stoped halfway during loading. I then tried running CoD2 and it gave my a DirectX error. I restarted the PC and everything seems fine.

Should I be worried or is this a one off?

No seriously I get it sometimes if something like my AVG A-virus is auto updating or Mr Logitech telling me my batteries are low (again) in my mouse. Could be that perhaps ?
I have had a couple of problems with BF2, when i have clicked on the join server button, it has crashed back to desktop, no idea why, only dont it a couple of times, stranges. I put it down to the gremlins that live in my case.

Seemed like a video card problem to me not something in the background taking me out. the fact CoD wouldn't run after is what got me worried. I thought my GTX had fried or soemthing. :(
 
Mundu have you deleted the shader files and allowed BF2 to recreate them.
You should do this after any tweaks to settings. ;)

Yup. It seems fine now but I'm wondering why it happened. I also went into dxdiag and tested direct 3D and it was failing everything but after the restart was fine. I'll ask the guys in the graphics forum anyway.
 
Just curious as to how you rename the squad name from the phonetic alphabet - quite getting into sniping and just wanna create a sniper squad, more so for the commander, and in worse case scenerio's, as a spawn point.

Tried right clicking on the squad name after creating it, doesn't work, but can't figure out how to either.
