A battlefield2 thread

I liked the littlebirds on that street map, where the USA had helo's and one base, and the enemy had a whole town. I used to be able to fly the littlebirds at ground level thru the streeets at highspeed. Loved that.
 
yeah i miss the littlebird's from DC :(

can anyone recommend a decent headset for bf2, so i can talk to the squad i'm in?

going to upgrade to 2gb ram this week so might aswell get a headset at the same time ;)

DAO-12 is loads of fun! Short-range though but it's unlucky for anyone that comes face to face with you!

"Puff the magic dragon", BF:DC has hit final and they are working on DC for BF2, although it lacks some of the original reasoning behind it (i.e. BF2 is modern combat already + the hardware can handle city maps now, no need for sparce desert landscapes). Im sure it will be a good mod, hopefully people will play it without stat recording or perhaps EA will allow stat logging for it, but I doubt it.

minimum range? I don't see how that can work if you point the gun to your feet?

The mod you're reffering to is Desert Conflict, and its timeline is the first Gulf War, so all the hardware is early 90's stuff. That means A10's, Su25's, Apaches, MLRS's, Mirage F1 and other goodies. Oh yes, and the AH-6 Little Bird :)

The plane I was refering to "puff the magic dragon", from desert combat for bf1942 is in desert conflict. The one in desert combat also had a cannon on it, and IIRC had 4 propellors.
 
Fed up as i wanna play this, but have no memory atm. What unlock should i get second? I have the medics rifle. Is the G3 actually any good?? :/ I heard it was a bit rubbish.


Edit, and that plane looks like a Dakota. Or however you spell it.
 
It was an AC130 gunship thingy.

edit - the one in DC that is :) That pic is a Dakota as said (DC-3, C47 etc - Dakota was the British name for it I believe).
 
Hi all, Last week I made it to 5000 G points and got 2 unlocks but before I could use them I had a hard drive fail on me, anyway Im back up and running after a full windows and BF2 install, The thing is Ive just recovered my bf2 account and it now says I have 4 unlocks :) Ive unlocked the 3rd medic gun and logged out and back in again and still have 3 left, is this a common glitch? I dont know whether to take all the unlocks now in case they dissapear in the morning, thing is I wanted to wait for the booster pack and patch for the extra guns, should I grab the unlocks??

Thanks, does that mean I will get another 2 aswell then when I install the new patch, or have I been given these extra 2 in prep for the new patch :confused: or is it a glitch,

BTW phill as I said my pc is sorted now so definately be on for the match, got a babysitter for that night aswell ;)

Just got to get xfire installed, never used it before and dont exactly know what it does yet :o Any possibility of listing the ocuk'ers team xfire names next to the bf2 names on the secret forum ;)

i hope that the two free unlocks wasn't in preparation for the patch + Euroforce.

i really want the P90, and maybe the new sniper unlock.
