Agreed, but I consider myself a fair, albeit rather crap player, but I don't find the need to cheat.

I'd rather play against the AI in single player than be point fodder for such hackers.

Can't see any more of my hard earned going to my BF2 collection, and what a damn shame that would be.

I've e-mailed Punkbuster about this, but, I don't hold my hopes up.....

but they ruin it for a lot of people. people who cheated/hacked or whatever ruined cod2 for me. im just glad ive sold up bf2 and moved on, i too had a suspicion that there were other 'forces' at work with bf2 but i didnt look very hard for an answer, seems its here though

Sorry for pointing out such a sad thing about my ,until this weekend, favorite on-line shooter guys.

I seriously, don't want to be the proverbial killjoy, but this needs sorting.....

No your rite its not a game when people do things like that. You play the game to show *** skill you got not what cheating skills you got.

every game has lame people who want cheat,if they get caught i can not remember which online game it was but they reset thousands of people who had cheated.EA track servers and players[if we can track our own stats to such high detail they can look out for weird stats].
practise makes perfect ,when i first played i was not good but get hours of gameplay it good fun

One seriously crapped off BF2 fan.

Pretty sure I saw those screenshots either before the first patch or just after, either way I think they've been out for a while now.

No idea if they fixed it in a patch since then though as I've never used cheats.

there was a heated thread started ages ago with someone asking for hacks in bf2, in that thread someone posted a link to a site which I checked out of curiosity and found so many different hacks and cheats it was unbelievable, The site even posted a warning next to cheats that punkbuster could detect, but there was at least 10 undetectable ones on there at that time.
These guys are just in it to ruin the game IMO as one of the hacks I remember was to make your speak text appear massive on the bf2 screen to pee everyone off and suggested using this and connecting to a server and spamming the hell out of it, just to ruin the game for everyone??? I have seen this hack being used since, I mean WTF do you get out of doing something like that :confused:

Among other cheats is making all surroundings/buildings dissappear, get inside buildings where you can shoot through walls as well as find all enemy soldier, auto aiming for headshots:::: the list goes on

im afraid PB is helpless

Those screenshots arnt from a multiplayer game anyway though, look at the names, theyre the AI players.

I've never thought of being sqaud or overall commander, but 2day no one was commander so I thought what the hell lets give it a go. after figuring out you could zoom in and see live. I was an unaturall and won the 3 games I was commander by a mile. As in we controled all the bases.. Why dont other commanders issue comands and use the zoom in option to spot units for advancing units...

What a waste, needless to say I will be trying to apply for commander ever game but I'm only a Staff Sergeant so lots more are higher ranked.

Yeah i started applying on Friday and im hooked now, most of the time i apply i get it even though ive only got 5k points. You think you have done everything in BF2, then you discover something else.

notice the sweedish names ?

the SS's were taken from a Single player game. Chances are those "undetectable" hacks arent what they seem

like the're gonna tell you that they're worthless when they are charging £50 ?

Punkbuster is usually very good at keeping on top of the cheats.

The commander role, that's one thing I don't know enough about. I've been commander a fair few times, and I just do a lot of stuff that a good commander would do, e.g. spotting people, planting relevant UAV's, dropping supplies on demand etc. And I get pretty alright scores. But I don't know exactly what bit gives me points and how many. I believe that you get a point for every enemy killed under your UAV, is that right? Is there a link (or simple list) of things that show how commander points are achieved?

you can just sit as commander, doing nothing at all... and still get a decent score. providing your team wins. i think you just get an avg of all your teams scores.

I know you get a point for every person killed in your artillery fire, not sure about other scores though.

I was nearly certain you get no points for artillery kills? It's used more as a team strategy rather than point farming I do believe, correct me if I'm wrong.
chopchop - surely there's more to it than just being an average of your team's scores?

I'm pretty sure Im rite as every time I do an artillary stike I get one point per kill.
unless its coincedence with something else.

flag capping and defending might get you a point or 2. but i and many others have never been able to find a certain action giving points.
artilary most definately does NOT give you a point for everyone you kill with it. why do people use arty on uncappable spawns? not for points, but to **** people off. so yes it is just meant for clearing an area.
