The game itself doesnt really take long to install really. Should be over in no time! And once you installed the game dont forget to updat to the latest patch (posted in my post above) and that all just depends on your dl speed. Will take like 5minz or so to install the patch. This game rocks, I have cod2, find it way to easy to play competitevly ! bf2 ***.

It's fully recommended for high resolution/high detail, but it's not required (it'll run fine on medium details with 512MB, or on smaller maps on high details)
 
Knew i was going to ask something. Is it worth getting another 512mb of RAM for BF2 or not? Ive only got one slot so can do 1.5GB max and cant afford to buy a 1GB stick.
 
Yeah, 2GB is reccomended, I used to play with 512mb on my old system and it was a nightmare! well it would always jerk evry so often.. 1gig is great 2 is even better :)
What I noticed when going from 512 to 2 gig was no jerking andd a hell of a lot faster map loading time
 
Doesnt take long to install, one DVD, you will need to download around 385 MB of updates though, get them NOW so your ready when it arrives, install the DVD then install all the updates otherwise you'll be waiting for ages downloading update files when you 1st get the game.
 
Its a great game my friends from college play it, i dont really like Clan wars in it though its not that kind of game (cod2 for that) hehe

New patch eh well I haven't touched the game in ages might see what's changed an if thats stupid sound problem that surfaced has disappeared. I'm starting to really miss BF2 don'h think I've played in over a month!!!!!!
 
APC = The chopper? (Im a BF2 noob :p )

I got punished for TK'ing yesterday cause somebody next to me in the chopper jumped out while i was firing and ended up infront of my spray of bullets. :D

APC = Armoured Personal Carrier (an armoured vehicle with cannon and rockets and six seats)

The Helo's in the game include: Blackhawk, AH1 (Cobra attack helicopter) Mi27 Hip (MEC blackhawk equivalent) Mi28 (MEC Attack Helo) AND the chineses equivalents.

Im gonna take this oppurtunity to pimp www.50klicks.com You may find the game considerably easier to learn if you join a squad on one of our servers and just follow them around.
 
Had a classic BF2 moment yesterday.
I had just taken the Chinese main base when there army decided to come and take it back. There i was hiding behind a building when 2 AV's and a Tank came to claim there flag back.
I ran out amonst them throwing mines down. I got 3 down before being shot by a trooper. About 2 seconds later BANG :D one of them must have moved. :p
I got 5 kills and 12 points for kills/damage and flag defend.
I could not resist typing in console;

What is euro forces like? Not played since 1.2 patch, although I have 1.22 installed. Have the fixed rockets passing though vehicles/giving client side animation of rocket launch but no decrement of ammo count?
