First off I would say that 1.22 is the latest patch, so you probably cant see that many anyway :)

Update again as they tend to stay pretty current and then we can see.

Good to see this thread still going - shows how great this game was.

Getting a bit tired of it now. But certainly kept me interested in gaming for well over a year :D
 
I love this game, as it got rid of my css addiction, i was way too hooked on css, now i play this im not adicted or anything i can just play when i want and wouldnt be botherd lol. great game
 
well i think i last posted on page...uhh 10 or something, Bf2 has been unplayable for me pretty much from release, i've just got 2gb 3200 g.skill ram and now it's smoooooooooooth as silk and loaded way fast so i'm playing again!

dont think i can remember my 50k forum details :D ....or server for that matter :(
 
Man this game can be frustrating at times, and 90% of the time its your own teams fault.

Was quite happily making a car bomb on Wake to take out a tank that had been sitting near one of our flags taking out people as they spawned (im talking 20+ people), anyway, had piled on 5 packs of C4 for my suicide mission just to have my buggy stolen by my own team mate just as i was about to jump in... it gets worse, the muppet took off down the road and crashed it into a tree which of course, caused a big explosion and resulted in him dying and me giggling like an idiot at the irony of it all, that was untill he punished me for a teamkill!! :(

C4 doesnt make a good anti theft device. :rolleyes:

Im sure thats a valid rule on some server somewhere, but as far as i know, its not on the ones i play on.

Regardless of that, desperate people do desperate things, i got nailed by that tank 3 times in a row because there was nowhere else to spawn, so somebody had to take it out.... it didnt quite happen as i planned, but atleast i was gonna try.

I think it's banned on =50k=

It's a laugh on most other servers though, I managed to take out 3 tanks that were going along together with C4 + Blackhawk once :p
 
Personally i think it's a viable tactic but only under certain circumstances.
A spawn camping mofo in armour can be given his just deserts with a Jihad run. Unfortunetly his body is usually to badly messed or gone completely so you can't teabag the mug. :p
Having said this if i load up a jeep (on right side ;) ) with C4 and a passenger or other player pops up then you are obliged to taxi him to action before commencing your jihad run, it's only right.



On a good and personal note i received an email off a clan yesterday inviting me to join them. Having not played in a few weeks this has spurred me on to play a bit of BF2 which i did last night. All i will say is i did very well in a one on one situation with there admin last night, Very well. :D
So malc is back into BF2 and whether i join these dudes or not you may see me on the battlefield. :cool:

I still need to get some 'training' for this match tonight or I'll do really crap, well I do usually but meh. :o

Can't wait for my next unlocks even though they're ages away. :(
 
I've just got SF. Does anyone know how I use the unlocks? I have chosen them but still have the old unlocks in weapons selection....

ANyone got any tips of flying planes because I seem to suck, bombs never hit, always have people on my tail - also do people use joysticks? I tried using one for helicopters but it was useless since it was always bias to one direction even when I was not touching the control.

I use a joystick. It was daaaaim hard to get used to using it at first for a helicopter, it's another dimension to add when you're both easing off on the throttle switch and pushing forward or whatever on the stick itself. It soon becomes worthwhile. I'd still be as happy with just the keyboard and mouse - the only real advantage with a joystick is that if you're trying to pull back up to avoid crashing into the ground/a cliff, all you do is pull & hold back whereas with the mouse you would be constantly dragging backwards.

With a plane - the joystick was a success straight away :D Flying is frantic enough with BF2's relatively small maps (compared to BF1942) without being limited by a keyboard imho. For doing barrel rolls, dive-bombing-then-pulling-quickly-back-upping the joystick's great. I rarely flew planes before I got the joystick, but now I'm killing and teamkilling all round me :( :D
