Had a similar thing happen to me, but I'm pretty sure I'm getting the points. Still as long as I get to use my unlocks I ain't complaining.

Happens on a couple of servers now and again. The points usually do go on your proper rank and it sorts itself out in a day or so. I've had it too.

Ahhh! getting the patch failed error now been trying for hours and still doesnt work. Has anyone got a solution to this prob?

If you got the patch from EA downloader PLEASE dont join any servers. The chronic server crashes since 1.3 are actually down to corruptly patched clients trying to connect (odd i know, but true nonetheless)

Uh... i dunno what the deal is, but im gettin really bad framerates. Thats without setting affinity to 1 core. When i tried that, i CTD. =/

So Armoured Fury is released, kind of in the UK - https://account.ea.com/commerce/pro...pp=commerce&xcountry=GB&locale=en_GB&curr=GBP

But when I use the EA payment it doesn't have meastro card, and switch/solo don't work.
So I tried the BT Click&Pay stuff which managed to 'disable my account' brilliant. I've email them, but no reply.

Are there any other UK people who've had this problem?

Just ordered Armoured Fury :cool:

One thing I have noticed since I came back to BF2 though... Squads, I cant join or create a squad anymore - I have to be invited. Do you have to be a certain rank now? I am sure in the good 'ol days you could just click a "Join" button!

I had that recently... until I realised I was trying to join a squad only while respawning, whereas you have to be alive to join one

Should have saved your 6 quid and gone for a couple of pints instead. I take it you didnt play EF by the fact your willing to throw more money at EA? They'll keep producing inherently poor patches, and shoddy expansion packs until people stop paying for them.

Since 1.3 you can't 'squad hop' so you can leave a squad when dead, but not join. You can then join when you're alive, but you can't respawn on the leader until you've died once after that (and respawned on a flag).

Despite a petition of 10,000 people against it, EA still implimented it, with the option to turn it off. Obviously they left it default 'on' so unless the server is admin'ed you can't squad hop.

Yet another big 'thank-you' it EA I think.

Dude their IS NO option to turn it off, if we had it on our 50K servers we'd have turned it off by now, but they didnt even give server admins the option. The petition your talking about was not to stop it being implemented it was to make it a server side option so that admins can decide. EA ignored this and did their own thing (again)

I was trying to join a squad while alive on the 50K Server last night, and didnt have any buttons to join/create a squad :/ You still do it by going on the "Squads" bar of the scores board yeah? I will try tonight, if not maybe a reinstall

Since squad hopping was removed I've actually found the quality of games has improved.

No longer can an entire team pop up on the other side of the map just because a Squad leader has crept around the enemy lines. You get more focused fighting, with better choke points etc.

Come to think of it this was a good change, just shame that the same patch broke the game for me too. Tried playing today and after a number of disconnects and crashes, I'm just giving up on the game until the next patch. Thing is though, they just released the last booster pack for the game so are they actually gonna bother with making another patch or just leave us now after milking us of our cash and finish off their latest BF?

Highly unlikely you'll see another patch now. Probably a hotfix to fix all the corrupt clients that are causing the chronic server crashes, but thats about all it will fix. The pimping of 2142 will increase dramatically as of the hotfix release.

I had huge problems with 1.2 but 1.3 has put me back in the game again.

Will download Armored fury of course. Euro Forces is awesome.
