I never really noticed that, people just joining another squad just becuase another commander was behind enemy lines etc. Maybe I was just lucky, I find it that the squad option is a ******* joke tbqh

AF will probably include patch 1.31 won't it... as for a.n.other hotfix - who knows... but as you say, focus will be on 2142 soon... at which point BF2 will updates will probably stop....

Shame really, as we could really do with a few more fixes and definitely more content, to keep things going until BF3.

Nope, what about the people like me who wont be buying AF, we'd have no hotfix would we. They are working on a hotfix at the moment im led to beleive.

I really doubt AF inculdes 1.31 as EA/Dice wouldnt release a patch with just that but it would be plastered all over thier site saying 1.31 is released otherwise theyd get a lot of angry ppl contacting them saying 'y should i need to buy the booster pack just to update my game'

I been looking at the Euro Forces addon but am not sure if its really worth the money as there is only 3 maps with it ?

Well if u dont mind bending over and taking another one up the jacksy from EA go ahead. You might as well save the fiver and have a couple of pints instead, or give it to charity. Anything but let EA know its ok to keep producing crappy booster packs and badly coded patches.

Good point - was just going by EF that included a newer patch level, but then v1.2x was released shortly after or on the day (can't recall).

Be interesting to see if a hotfix gets released with AF then...

Was just playing AF, seems to be the maps only have one of the new helo's per side, no afterburners on the new planes (obviously). You have to set the new small helos down really easy when landing or you seem to get a quarter or more of your health taken off you. AF seems ok but the new helos are nowhere near as responsive as thye should be.

But they do contain a Uav built into them so when they fly over you ud best beware, they also have twin machine guns. I found the new plane to be some what nose heavy as well.

Edit: There isnt any hotfix with it as i was only on a server for about 4 mins before i got 'problems with your connection'

No idea. I'm pretty handy with helicopters in simulators and have a horrible time with the BF2 physics. *shakes fist at EA*

I love the choppers, can fly them under bridges, circle strafe etc all with the mouse and keyboard, I don't understand why people find it hard tbh :confused:

I can fly them quite easily, i just struggle to hit things

Same with the jets.

Nothing to explain, just hours of practice. Took me less than an hour to get the grasp of the basics and then the rest I picked up while flying on servers. Just make sure you can keep the thing in the air and land properly before heading off to a live server.

I find the copters on desertcombat far more enjoyable too bf2's tbh, they took a lot of mastering in DC and i found you have far more control over them.
