A beginners first build...

still that 9800GT synergie? its dual slot in size.

so the 1Xpci-e slot on that motherboard is covered up.

leaving just 1Xpci-e above the graphics card, and 1X pci slot
 
No, I'm now going with the HIS ATI Radeon HD 4850 1GB graphs card now as it's the same price and supposedly better. How would this fit?

So I'm thinking I should stick with the normal ATX board and 4gb ram. I then have room for future expansion and the games I want to play are pretty old and don't really need more than 4gb of RAM anyway.

Does this sound like a good idea?

Ok, so I.ve just found someone who is selling, brand new, an AMD X4 955 CPU, 4gb of 1600MHz DDR3 RAM and an MSI 770-C45 AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard for £259.00 which would save me around £65!

Will this motherboard be ok, AFAIK, it is just a standard ATX motherboard and not a micro version

I have just bought the first of it!

I have just bought the first of the items for my PC.

I have bought the Xigmatek Midgard Case, the window for this case and an extra orange Xigmatek 120mm fan.

I got these for a very good price, what do you think?
 
you can.

you need to do a paper clip trick to turn the psu on. it replicates what the power button does on the motherboard
