I've posted the odd pic or two of it before but it's nearly finished now...

£930 including car purchase...The guy was determined to keep it under a grand (you should see his custom mkIII Cortina Van running a 370ci(?) V8...Made from a 'tina Estate)

By the way, LSD, rear axle, engine and 'box are from an Isuzu Piazza Turbo. About 250bhp/850Kg.

Just goes to show what can be accomplished if you do the hard work yourself. I'd guesstimate that it would be a £3-5k car if I didn't know it already.

By the way, this is primer, not filler ;)

Opel Kadett.

Going to be running:

Ford/Tamaha 1.6 Zetec.

Eaton M45 Supercharger.

Isuzu Piazza LSD/axle.

...And a DTA S60 ECU.

Win.

The guy who built the orange and blue car also built this a wee while back:

I have a cunning plan concerning my Shuv.

I'm off to see a tarmac-prepped 2-door saloon soon...Ready to have a C20XE dropped in.

If I get it, I'll flog the redtop and gubbins and drop in a Lexus V8.

He's part of the Nightmares Racing club...The 'Tina was sold last summer though - not sure who has it now.

with the opels how do you overcome the issue of 'rotbox'?

also any vauxhall firenzas out there

You buy a good example to start with.

As far as 70s/80s cars go, the Kadett C/Chevette lineage is fairly rot-resistant.

Under the battery tray, under the washer bottle, bottom of the inner wings, bottom of the bulkhead, tops of the sills (non-structurally) and the rear arches are the key places to look at when looking for a car.

You want Firenzas?

I want droop snoots!

YOU CAN'T HANDLE DROOP SNOOTS!

How could I forget Baby Bertha?!

I have a photo of her as my desktop at work:

If, in 20 years, I have a fifth of Gerry Marshall's driving ability, I'll be a very happy man.
