A better way to spend £930...? Is there?

Dear, God no!

Anything that will fit...And some things that need a bit of 'massaging'.

If you go over to Fuel Injection, you'll need a new tank, pump, swirl pot et cetera...And an ECU to run it all...But its all doable.

That said, you could get a 3.5-4.5 V8 to run on two banks of bike carbs, I think...Lavley.

I REALLY want a Lexus V8 with twin Eaton M45s and full engine management for my Shuv...

Right...

Firenza

It's a '72 car so tax exempt.

Perfect base for a meaty engine conversion (and arches/front like the black one above).

How about something a bit different under the bonnet?

Huge V8 diesel!

It's a 620mm cube...So would fit in the Shuv with minimum massaging...

...BUT...

I'd still chop the bulkhead back and mount it about 100-150mm further back.

My thoughts exactly; everyone and his dog has a Rover V8. You know what it will sound like, what it will go like and how it will drive.

Yes, they are relatively light but give me a SBF with alloy heads and manifolds over a Rover V8 any day.

And give me a 1UZ-FE over both of them ;)
