I recently threw out most of my old PC games, Normality made the cut to be saved though, along with Dungeon Keeper (the original, I've lost my copy of the 2nd) and the original Quake. Awesome games!
Aw, seeing Age of Empires 2 and Carmageddon has made me nostalgic. Maybe GOG will come to the rescue. No One Lives Forever was very entertaining too.
There's so many games I have regrettably got rid of over the years. Also, even though this isn't really the place, I should never have sold my N64. Too many hasty decisions...
A few from the most accessible box of old games I have (top of the leaning tower of junk tbh), although having uploaded this I've now noticed Grand Prix 2 and Star Trek 25th Anniversary that I would have included....where is my Lemmings box though
Longbow 2 was good. We still have our Mechwarrior boxes in the loft somewhere, wish we could still buy the big boxes, collection at store only, I'd buy.
Lol classic titles there! £29.99 sticker on worms!!
I also have a lot of PC Gamer Demo discs my dad used to get me the mag every week at shopping. Deus Ex invisible war/fallout tactics/max payne era.
HL has aged pretty damn well when you consider what other games you have from that era. I don't know why everyone was ragging on it in the recent "games that have aged badly" thread.
I still have the disc kicking about somewhere. Got it free with my vooodoo (2?) card.
Loved playing Descent, remember when settlers first came out, cannot remember if it was PC or amiga though! Probably still got the original quake disc kicking about somewhere.
Medal of honour allied assault - watching the guy behind you throw up as you came to the beach on your armoured boat and then.............. all hell breaks loose. Fundamentally the greatest and most awe inspiring moment in my entire PC life. Simply blew me away.
Baffled plenty of people really and like you say with modern graphics, sound and online multiplayer having developed a lot since then it would have the potential to be superb, though I'm sure it would somehow be ruined were it to happen. Tie Fighter is still imo the best SW game on pc by a long long way.
Yeah, it was a hard game in general, think I only completed it once or twice (back in the days when you used to complete games loads instead of playing them for 20 minutes then going back to the shop in steam).
incomming ! I have just today reinstalled Quake3 and hope to get back into some fragging action, yes I know about quakeLive but I want to play custom maps (baldm3,blood stream) etc
