A Christmas thread!...Advice please

Hi guys,

My parents NEVER go away anywhere abroad and I am looking to treat them to travel and accommodation in Paris for a weekend.

The Eurostar is only £69 for 2 people so after that all I need to pay for is accommodation.

How much am I looking for a Hotel in Paris for a weekend around Xmas?

Looking to do this all in for around £300 so - the £69 leaves £229 for accommodation for 3 nights.

Any advice / recommendations would be appreciated!
 
My parents are exactly the same. I've been trying to get them to go to Italy or something, but nooooooooooooo, Yorkshire is far more preferable!
 
You can get accommodation in a package from Eurostar. I have done this and it was very good value. I'll see if I can find a post where I posted the details previously...
 
eurostar site says its £69 per person, you found a 2-4-1 deal or smth?

after looking more closely its £69 for 2 adults, but thats each way.. not a return
 
I didn't take travel insurance into account so thanks for stating that. Pretty amazing how cheap it is to get to Paris :)

Total outbound price for 2 Adults from £69.00 (around £34.50 per person)

Put in return on the fields but it doesn't mention a return date :confused:

Edit- I'm guessing you tested it for September? In December it's a lot cheaper as it's an early booking I guess.

its showing the same price for december, i tried prices for tuesday-friday to get the cheapest prices as weekends will be more

It only says outbound but i am ticking the return box :\

Edit - No, you're right. £138.00 for BOTH inbound and outbound for 2 people.

Can get a 3* hotel for 4 nights for around 250 euros http://www.booking.com/hotel/fr/gra...3820468d9c7b66621b5ea27a6X5;show_room=RD79680

Means £138 + £217 = 355. Travel and accomodation. So it's far from impossible

Might have to dig a little deeper into your wallet, something like £350-400 should do it.

On other news: AAH IT'S CHRISTMAS :D
