A classic appears on GOG.com, Mafia 1!

Mafia II was good, just had nothing on the first one and could've been a lot better but the atmosphere was still there.

I'm thinking about picking up III for the setting, music etc. but I've heard the game has quite a lot of problems and the graphics are bad (they don't look that bad in some gameplays though).
 
Mafia II would have been better if they had more sandbox elements in it, as the world itself was huge with little to do in it - from what I recall. The characters were solid though.

Thinking about it - Mafia 3's visuals are bad half the time due to the lighting model, which is a total train wreck. In specific places fast weather (day/night) transitions can happen suddenly and sunrises are blindingly bright causing you to drive into the nearest lamppost.

The world though... Damn is it amazing to explore in. The devs did a fantastic job on it and I can't commend them enough.
