Nope.

Was a one off.
Were working with LG on a deal on one of their other 29" but we won't see a repeat of this price. We have approached other brands who have simply said such a price is simply impossible and way below cost.

So it was a very special offer. My normal buy cost on these is above what we sold them for, that's how good it was.

Right drove 98 miles from sunny Lincolnshire to pick this cheeky monitor up.

Looks top notch, have only just set it up, so here are a few things.

1. Comes with a UK plug and power adaptor.

2. Audio 3.5mm male to male cable.

3. DVI cable.

4. Stand and Platform (really would never have guessed!)

5. Does not come with a USB 3.0 Cable for the USB hub (But at this price who cares, will borrow it from my printer!)

While in the Store got chatting to the lad behind the counter, these monitors, as stated by Gibbo sold like hot cakes as has the newer models.

Not sure at the time, what came with the monitor (and yes l should have asked the lad behind the counter!) l grabbed a couple of OcUK branded 5m DP cables, just incase.

I was unable to get the display to run at 2560x1080 @ 60Hz with the supplied DVI cable, however that maybe down to my laptop (P170EM) not playing with it.

However the HDMI cable and both DP cables (funny old thing) worked after setting up the display in windows 7 control panel. 2560x1080 @ 60Hz.

Just played a quick UT video and a HD film, look fantastic, have not played any games as of yet however will have a whirl tonight.

Will need to set up the monitor for gamma, colour etc when l get the chance, as looks a little creamy to me on initial switch on.

All in all a bargain if not a steal at this price.

Next to the laptop for some size comparison.

Btw first time in OcUK's store (Bit far to drive from the North Pole), was like a kid in a sweet shop! Nice display cases with wallet busting kit!

I see that these are back on sale but not as good of a price :(

Can anyone confirm the below please?

Very tempted by this but as mentioned, lack of reviews/info etc. is worrying.......

Looked at the other monitor which "supposedly" has the same panel (29EA93) and according to anandtech, there were two revisions, the first one had TERRIBLE performance but the second one has amazing performance:

So any ideas about this monitor and if it has the newer or older panel?

My Monitor was produced October 2013 REV00 not sure if that helps, however most sites quote 5ms, only the purple PC lot quote 14ms.

Won't really be able to tell as running off a laptop, however seems smooth enough to me.

14ms is no doubt black to black as all monitor manufacturers now quote grey to grey.

Ok thanks.

That review was written In Feb 2013 so I presume these monitors would be using newer/better panels then.....

Now to decide between this or this:

I hate decisions :(

I bought the AOC for £280 and i think it is better than the LG. It overclocks and if you read the reviews and master the overdrive and settings it beats it in input lag and response time and crucially it overclocks to 75hz.

Yup 75hz!

Cheers Gibbo, was thinking that myself.

Quick couple of games:

BF4, Dirt3 and Minecraft all play flawlessly and look damned fine, can't wait to hook it up to both my PC's as the GTX 680M not quite got the legs for it :)

Yeah read about that, pretty nice!

Wish there were more reviews for this lg screen.

And guys, post bigger photos please!!! :D

Could someone do me a favour please.

Measure the depth of this monitor with the stand, so from the very back of the stand where the monitor attaches (which would be touching the wall) to the front/panel.

Hope that makes sense :p

I think the panels are very close in coating and quality anyways i would imagine it comes down to input lag and overclocking which LG done worse on thier new range it seems. I can find no info on if these panels will go beyond 60HZ. Where as last years models happily do 60-76hz so LG have ocne again screwed the pooch as they seem to have more models than reviews of thier panels!

No one would be dissapointed by either at the prices i would imagine. Sub £300 for 21:9 really is great!

Yup, that is the only thing stopping me from buying this one, zero reviews for this "exact" monitor, mainly just want to know the input lag etc.

Been looking at the AOC reviews and it seems very good but build quality looks pretty poor (bezel peeling away) and I think the LG is nicer for aesthetics as well as the OSD/software features/controls.
