Hi Guys

I thought I would post this build up for you guys on the forums to check out.

Its not often that customers are invited to OcUK, but this build was a little bit special and we wanted to invite Stelly from our forums to OcUK HQ so he could see exactly what goes on when your system is built by the experts!

Stelly is a long standing forum member and a regular OcUK shop customer and has spoken to me on many occasions seeking advice on what products to purchase. He has been discussing a system build with me for some time and it has evolved into an incredible personal computer.

He wanted silence coupled with huge performance and I have spent the last few months finalising his hardware so that he got something that was totally bespoke and suited his requirements perfectly. We were aiming to have the motherboard filled with hardware, because "you only have a good system when you cant see the motherboard" :p

This was not going to be a run of the mill build and there was a lot of talk of raid controllers and enterprise class motherboards, all of these things were very relevant to my interests so I was really excited to be a part of this build.

So this weekend OcUK invited Stelly to our HQ to spend the day with us in the office and watch his PC get built by myself.

Our technical team did a great job of overclocking the cpu and memory and had the bundle on test overnight to ensure that it was nice and stable before we even installed it! 4.6GHz easily achieved with temperatures looking really good. Perfect for an ultra high spec system.

enough of my rattling on. Here is the spec list for this beast!

The whole build was a joy to put together and looked even better than myself and Stelly thought it would. I am really looking forward to hearing his thoughts when he gets a chance to use it for a few days. I know if I was in his shoes, I would be like a kid at Christmas!!!

Our photographer wasn't in this Saturday so my less than epic photography skills have been called in ;)

Here are the build pictures

Enjoy your new system Stelly :D

I will admit that this was one of the nicest builds I have seen at OcUK.

Also RJK, you won't believe this but Stelly didn't even switch this beast on until about 9pm last night. However he was sat chatting to me for around 2 hours and I finally told him to bugger off and go and setup his new machine. He was "too busy" apparently. I would have been like a child opening 10,000 Xmas pressies.

that coolant is such a lovely colour :)

and its a good thing you built it in such a large case - a lot to put in there!

nice build cant believe you havent done a ocuk build with your colours also with the olympics and so on (red , white , blue )

send my prize when its built :D

Holy ****, nice build!

Albeit sad fact is that in 12 months time it'll be worth less than half of what he paid :( (and probably cheap as chips in 24 months) Nice having money to burn though!

EDIT: what a strange power socket layout on those graphics cards, never seen any like that before.

Hey All,

Would first off like to thank Gibbo, RJK, Nath (lots of love for Nath) and AceModder for making this build happen, it was a great day with lots of banter and building had... pub had Peroni on tap so I was unbelievably happy :D

Yes unfortunately I got home from OcUK had my sister come down and went for a few pints and watch the footy... so that was a write off...

Sunday, well again, another write off needed to help my parents with a few things, then when I got home AceModder kept me chatting like an old woman about his baking ;)

So yes, yes I know, bad Stelly ;) but it now has Windows Server 2008 installed and I have just installed Steam and a few other applications, still got a lot more to install as well...

Holy ****, nice build!

This was a build that I have been planning for a few years now as you can see the enterprise hardware that I wanted is premium, as I will be keeping this for another 3 years or more, the Intel RAID card AceModder had to source directly from Intel, I will post some performance testing of them when I get home.

I did have the thought that you did its going to be worth nothing in a few years time, but that thinking could have put me off for life, so I though screw it I'm going for it... and thus did :D

I will be benchmarking tonight and will post a good few pics of the build :D

Stelly
