A different Ebay thread

Would the seller be allowed to send something without providing a returns postage address? checked the packaging you received?

It is stolen so you are not the owner regardles if you have paid in good faith. If the police get involved they can and will take it. Your only hope is the company let you keep it.

Good on you though for doing the wright thing.

It *might* be stolen. However that's irrelevant because it's a US company, they cannot make the OP return it, all they can do is ask.

If they were brought with a stolen card, then maybe they were alerted to this fact by the card owner, who would have claimed on his/hers banks protection so wouldn't the printer manufacturers still got their money?

I'm still waiting to hear what their view on my printer is but they have told me they are contacting eBay to get the seller taken down. So they must think they are stolen, but the new printer I talked about has only been out a few months I purchased mine in April so how many/how long they may have been stealing them I don't no.

Just a waiting game now I guess.

But then, who covers it? Just because they claimed this back from the bank, surely the bank would try recoup what they can from the place of sale, of which they already have the money?

Its nice to see you did the right thing. Lets hope the company decide you're entitled to your (allegedly) stolen goods. They should certainly show you some sign of appreciation.
