This is one of THOSE weekends.
Having sorted out the problem with my son's Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 fault yesterday, my own computer with the same Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 type m/b now has a fault.
It usually runs 24/7, but this morning it had a blank (black) screen and would not accept input from keyboard or mouse, so I hard reset.
It booted into the BIOS and I checked and F10 saved/rebooted.
This time it hung with a Post error code of C1- Detect memory.
Having learned from yesterday, I removed all memory sticks except one in the DDR3-1 slot, cleared the CMOS and powered on again. I tried all 6 sticks in succession, but in each case it still hangs at C1.
Again I ask for helpful suggestions please.
