A few nights in Paris

Haha thats where I was working up until last year! When were you there? It is a hostel, just the site is rubbish and makes it look like a hotel.

I have been in almost all the hostels in Paris and I would recommend that one as its in montmartre - a really great area and you can get good double rooms there too. Or the ´young and happy´ hostel in the latin quarter - again really good area and lots of bars nearby.

One tip - go to the Sacre Coeur at night with a bottle of wine for an amazing view of Paris, theres a great atmosphere there too, loads of people drinking on the steps. Also rue mouffletard in the latin quarter has such a cool atmosphere - loads of bars and great kisches!

As a result, it's no longer legal to publish current photographs of the Eiffel Tower at night without permission. Technically, this applies even to amateurs. When I spoke to the Director of Documentation for SNTE, Stéphane Dieu, via phone last week, he assured me that SNTE wasn't interested in prohibiting the publication of amateur photography on personal Web sites. "It is really just a way to manage commercial use of the image, so that it isn't used in ways we don't approve," said Mr. Dieu.

I went there recently and booked it all through Eurostar.

Cost us about £260 for both of us if I remember correctly. That was 4 nights and return Eurostar staying in Montparnasse.

Think the hotel was called Hotel Losserand Montparnasse and was quite nice, altho breakfast was costly. Its close to a tube station and close to lots of good places. One to look at.
