** A NEW BEST SUB £300 CARD? AMD 290X 8GB!! **

I might be able to get you a picture of the Sapphire 290X 8GB pcb if needed, just shout.

If you could, extremely difficult to find as it just throws up 4GB versions in google :(

Yes, though I can't find any PCB pics of this either, the fact its the reference 290x blower cooler is enough to tell me it is the reference 290X PCB, could always quiz gibbo as he had those made just for OcUK :p

General rule of thumb for GPU water cooling: Buy the cheapest reference cooled card you can, as 99% of the time it guarantees block compatibility.

Will see what i can do mate. If i can't get one, then I'll take one of my cards Sapphire 290X 8GB cards apart to grab a picture. :)

I've found the MSI cards to be quiet if the case cooling is up to scratch and the card has room to breathe.

Ste i would not recommend using a 290 card with an x58 motherboard as i believe the NForce 200 PCI-E switching chip causes problems with our graphics cards XDMA technology. Sorry to say this, as I'd love to see you using our cards but at the same time i don't want you to have problems. This is only a problem on old motherboards that use that old PCI-E switch. This issue does not affect any other boards using different PCI-E switches seen on newer motherboards.

So if i have a x58 system without a NForce 200 it will be fine with XDMA?

So I could plop the PCS+ 290 along with my MSI Gaming 290 with no issues? Weary of getting another MSI as it used to run very hot, though not used it since May/plan to have a rethink about how my case is cooled.
