A new Unreal Tornament ?

ut2004 and Unreal where my fav. Ut3 was ok but i got bored of it with lack of mods etc.

But i think there may be a UT10 or something.

I loved both UT/UT2k4 - both very different if taken seriously. UT3 - after god knows how long a wait managed to kill it all for me.

I think if it released in the same state as black edition it might of been ok - but it was DOA tbh.

...oh and as TAC4U said - death to gamespy!

ut was very slow gameplay compared to ut2k4, ut2k4 focused a lot more on movement , where as ut was more based on dominating maps and thinking, obviously it still was pretty fast action in typical ut fasion.

For me, if I play ut2k4 for a prolonged period and then go play some ut1 this is totally reversed. UT1 is lightning fast, especially close up and 2k4 feels very floaty by comparison.

Well, I'd say at least two things make it less spammy: shock rifle fires slower, rocket launcher holds up to 6 rockets that can be fired spread or bundled.

i guess it depends , ut2k4 obviously brought on board dodge jumping etc, with changed the gameplay somewhat, persoanlly i think for the better, i remember many levels made 100% just for fun to try jumping across crazy platforms etc etc.

The UT'99 "Zeroping" instagib mutator was great fun, being able to shoot exactly where you saw players, rather than allowing for latency to the server.

indeed it was quite genious, however meant you had to readjust to playing without it.

I like playing ut on lans to avoid all the agro of crap connections.

UT99 is awesome. It really took over my life when it came out for a good 3-4 years I'd say. I just recently re-installed it and its difficult trying to get to a very good level again. I'm getting there, but having loads of fun playing Bunny Track maps now.

Exploring new maps and learning tricks were awesome back in the day. I go by the name *salami* in the servers now but old nick was MoB-Assassin. I remember the old clans like SRz and 0T. The good old days

creed that u, hows it goin fella? if ya talking bout shaggy could ya send him irc if u see him mate, ut3 nations cup just started again.

EEJ wolv, You still going strong in UT3?

I'm Good mate got back into computers this year and built a sick rig. But its massive overkill as i can play all games maxxed out with plenty of fps to spare.

Consoles have ruined PC gaming for now. games are designed for xbox/ps3 then ported over so our extra power is wasted :(

installed mass effect 2 other day and its directx 9. So we have to wait for the next gen consoles before they'll put our pcs to use???

And ****off anyone who mentions crysis. game blows.

Yeah ill send that northen tw@ over to irc mate no worries lol

And the guy who said UT is slow obviously plays LOW skill ;)

Fast = Quake3 cpma

Oh i forgot to rant about cod MW2 menus, partys and online multiplayer system. Buggy crap over simplified for console idiots making pc gaming hell!!!!1

romeo done

Don't want another UT to come out tbh. Feels like they ruined it enough with UT3.

After clocking up so many hours in 2k4 in my xfire profile I just couldn't get to like the thrid one. Shame really because as soon as everyone in my clan realised it sucked we all parted ways.

Classic Unreal mp and single player was awesome, not a massive community but certainly fun till an aimbot showed its ugly head. Hated UT and 2003 but 2004 was pretty good.
