I have installed Hard Drives before but am reluctant with this system. I bought the system as a pre-built bundle on this website and the cables are managed very well.

I am just wondering if anyone has any tips to installing another HDD. I know how to do it I am just worried about messing up the cable management. I have cable ties.

I suppose my main question is whether anyone has any experience with how to go about finding the concealed power cables without doing any damage? I had a brief look and couldn't follow the existing SATA cable (to see where it is tied) or any free power cables. It is all so neat and tidy!

Thank you.

all you need is to find a spare molex sata power plug from your psu and a spare sata data cable, look at your original hdd for reference

connect up the new drive then pop in the bios and look for hdd's and make sure your original/os hdd is still first boot device,if not change it so it is then save/exit

that's it,you might need to look in disk management in windows and initialise the new hdd for it to show up in windows or assign a new drive letter to it

just cut the cable ties and find the connectors you need,re zip tie it later once everything is connected
