A Penski inspired thread

i can't think of a better motorway crusier for £300, only being a 3.2 with lpg won't even be that bad on fuel

I agree - I wasn't disputing that - I was dismayed at modding it all (and in such a horrid way) - just spend the £300 and enjoy the car.

Meh, maybe I'm getting old, I know I modded a lot when I was younger but I go for things a lot more subtler these days (says the guy who's about to drive a bright yellow Westfield!).

It does seem a shame - if he really did get that £300 he did very well as I would suggest its at least 5-10 times less than its really worth especially considering the LPG conversion meaning it is exempt from ridiculous petrol prices and its age meaning it is exempt from the new road tax. It would have made a simply sublime cruiser.

Now it... doesn't. You wouldnt want to drive it far at all now which utterly negates the purpose of the LPG conversion.

Well, thats an awsome luxury bargain cruiser ruined.

The matt black will look even more terrible within a week, the tyres will rub, the ride will be horrific and you'll look a tool.

And, those wheels are horrific.

who would have though you could now banger race in style and comfort.

Yup - very pleased with my £900 '98 Scorpio Cosworth :-) Not missed a beat in the 12 months I've had it.

I have modded it but you can't see any of them - Piper cross filter, remapped ecu, MP3/USB/Bluetooth Kenwood interface hidden in the glove box.

a bit random

bad

messes up the spring rate and you'll bottom out on your bump stops

also causes a harsh ride and poor handling

Is chopping the springs bad or is it okay to do?

Might also fail an mot if the chassis is jacked up and the wheels left hanging - if the springs become unseated - instant fail.
