A "permanent" shave

It's possible to have electrolololololololosis, but that will remove everything so you won't even have the shadow and end up a Macaulay Culkin lookalike.

Whatever you do, so not get so drunk that you think that using your girlfriend's Veet cream and Epilady are in any way a good idea.

Trust me, you'll find out in the morning that a hangover is the least of your problems.

Ha ha tried that one time and woke up with my face covered in open red sores, that veet is acid in a tube.

I could not shave again for a few weeks so ended up with a huge itchy beard

Shave properly and it will be less of a painfull experience.

I shave like this:
(Personally, I think it is better if you do this after a shower)

Fill sink with hottest water you can stand
Spash hot water on all parts of your face you intend to shave
Use a quality foam/gel, i use a Gillette sensitive, or similar
Shave without pushing too hard, let the blade/s do the work
I use as long a strokes as possible, rinsing under the hot tap/hot water after each
When completed, splash/clean your face with water straight out of the cold tap

Bish Bash Bosh, job done, no pain, clean shave and the cold water closes up your skin to stop spots/rash :)

If you have sensitive skin or the area feels inflamed then after the cold water apply a little oil and rub it in well. That will stop the usual rash from turning up to. You can get special oils for this but baby oil or something similiar works just as well.

what about waxing?

Thing is that would hurt a lot and you'd have to get it done regularly. The op might as well save himself the pain and just shave.

I heard those electrolysis things work but you have to go to repeat procedures for ages before you get all of them.

I personally like my end of week beard. Over Christmas I had a similar one to Squiff's Christmas beard from a couple of years ago.

Haha..

Well i'm one of those guys that tends to shave only once a week :p Its not straggly bits either.

Its just such a pain in the ass, as im sure everyone is aware. Waxing has crossed my mind many times but i've never dared try it. The upper lip would not be my first port of call if i were to try that!

The closest was on a very odd day where with around 7mm of beardage i decided to yank a clump out where it was itching with nothing less than a pair of pliers.

The initial satisfaction was soon followed by the ole' watery eye and strong urge of NO when contemplating yanking a second chunk of hair out.

What i was thinking when i did that i don't know.

Around 1 in 3 hairs grow back after being zapped, so you have to keep going back to have the stragglers zapped.

But in answer to the op: MAN UP YA GREAT WOOFTA!

Shaving is a gigantic waste of time and a pain in the rear end.

Perhaps you could try getting really good with a cut-throat razor, nothing faster for getting the stubble off your face and keeping it off.

For those that can't be arsed shaving (or for whatever reason), you should get this:

http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/sto...01&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051

I bought one just a few months ago and i use it all the time. When i shave it always aggrovates my skin as i get bored after a few minutes, but with this, i can shave my entire face and neck in around 2 minutes. So easy to use and makes you at least look like you care about your appearance! :)
