What bugs me is the fact that we get tax on our pay slips, then they tax us on everything else! The country is messed up!

UPDATE: This morning (10/12/07) Transaction 2007 announced a firm date for the protest. Protests will start Saturday 15th December 2007 at 10:00am. They say the date was decided by members as "the best possible to enable those who would normally be working during the week to attend." According to a press release on the site, they plan to protest outside refineries or storage depots across the country.

I dont see how that matters? thats how loads of people operate at the moment anyway :confused:

Only people on salaries pay as they earn.

Whats this got to do with high crude prices and fuel taxation levels anyway?

Effective timing - if implemented correctly - imo.

Given that the last major Fuel Protests nearly halted the Country think what would happen to Christmas supplies of your favorite Wine / Album / Graphics Card etc if something happened at this time of year?

Everything delivered these days is supplied on a "just in time" basis, one hold up in the chain and stores would start to empty very quickly, and things would get very heated for both Joe public & the Government.

I'm off sick so not working nor will I be participating in any protests this time around,

, given my perspective from within the Logistics industry, I wish the protesters all the best.

I got emailed about this, a good time to switch to lpg maybe except I can tell you thats also rising now too. Its up by 25% over the last few months in some areas

Because 50mpg reduces the pain quite a bit
