A Quiet Place

Looks great. Has the potential to be terrible but as above I have faith that Emily blunt knows what she's signed up for.

So I really enjoyed it. Short film but works really well as a lot of the film is pretty much dead silent so it’s nice to have a different concept. Only thing I can say is, I hope you don’t get any talkers or anyone eating. Luckily my viewing didn’t have either, but it’s that quiet in parts that it would easily ruin it just as an advanced warning. Apart from that, good use of sound and very intense pretty much from start to finish.

I thought it was excellent. I don't think I've seen a film as tense as this.

The deaf daughter was wholly responsible for her dads death.

Out on 6th officially, booked to watch Saturday. From the trailers they've been showing before other films we've watched it looks to be a different take on horror films, we both said after it'd make a decent premise for a game.

Watched this last night.

Really good, 90mins of tension and on the edge of your seat right from the start because it sets up he premise straight away. Imagine the last half hour of Alien when the Xenomorph is on the space ship and hunting the crew, this movie is pretty much that for all of it and it works.

It doesn't try to explain why, it doesn't try to explain what they are, it just is and its better for it for not getting bogged down with the details.

One of the better horror movies i've seen.

Just got back and really liked this, would have liked it even more if it wasn't for the two bints sat nattering away near me.

I too liked how we didn't have to see 'D Day' and them adjusting and the rules and how to survive was already setup, the nail kept reminding me of Home Alone :D

I suppose that is the only ending they could have gone with and I'm glad as it didn't truly setup a sequel and I don't think it would work if they did try to make one.

I swear in the trailer I saw clips of military shooting against the creatures that didn’t make it into the film or am I making that up?

Definitely none of that in the film, wonder if they filmed it but then at edited stage decided to leave it out, with the film I've just watched having the army shoot at stuff wouldn't fit the tone imo.

Saw it on Saturday, absolutely loved it. Please please don't make any sequels or prequels.

On a budget of around $17 million it's estimated to have made $50 million in the US this last weekend. If there's not a second film, and as Americans will be scratching their heads as to what caused it it'll be a prequel, I'll eat Jennifer Lawrence's pants (please don't make a second film).

Nope at times there is very little sound in the film so if your eating popcorn or Nachos you can hear it easily same with people who talk.
