I'm thinking i might get the Hazro 27-inch when it arrives at OCUK, but i want to know how some of my games will run at this res. Is there anyway i can trick my monitor to run the higher res for a benchmark run?

Short answer: It should work without any work around

long answer: the GPU should just downscale the video output to your monitors native res while still rendering it at your desired res

this used to work for CRTs if you used a driver that could give you the options of higher resolution. I didn't know it could be done with LCDs too. Cheers, I'll give it a go.

I don't see how that could work considering most games 'check with the GPU driver' to check the max resolution - so surely it's more of a case of tricking the drivers, which could be difficult.
