A work dilemma

His dad is apparently a very strict and serious businessman, so I will always giggle to myself that I've seen him dancing to Dizzee Rascal in his pyjamas :D
 
Sounds like you have a way in using your network.

If he's a serious person, he's recommending you because you can do the job. Remember it will reflect well on him if he introduces good people.

Can't see anything weird about it, its totally seperate from who ever may be your boyfriend.
 
if you weren't suitable for the job, he wouldn't mention it, after all, he doesn't want to lose face either :)

i work with my boyfriends dad, we commute to Kent from Essex together everyday so i see him quite a bit, we have an open plan office and our rooms are next door to each other - its great! we get on really well and my relationship with my boyfriend is stronger than ever because i feel i can talk to his dad about anything now!

i think you should go for the job! and good luck! :-)
 
Go for it.

I got my current job via my Dad, who also works in the same office as I do. After the inital "Your really ....'s boy?" its like working at any other office.
