My RAID migration from Raid 0 to Raid 5 just hit 100% and I basically had a party in my head to celebrate.

Now it's just gone back to 0% saying, "oh wait, hang on - I just need to rebuilt it". My party died.

Is this normal, will it take just as long as the first time (i.e. an entire week of my PC running worse than a 486 sx33 while it 'migrated')!

I would be very grateful for any replies, thank you!

Decided to format and start from scratch rather than find out the hard way. I seperated *** drives in to seperates and then re-arrayded (is that a word, I dunno) them. Although now I've re-installed Vista it's decided to 'initialize' the array. \o/

7 hours of that until I find out if there's another stage of Raid related fun.

In a sick kind of way I enjoy it, it's like when I used to spend days playing with IRQs and DMAs on sound cards and things trying to get everything working. :D
