About to click buy now on headphones...

Sorry if it seemed as if I was shouting with the capitals. I wasn't.
As for the cardboard packaging its the "environmental loving package" ... its legit.

Back onto the review.

I have decided I no longer want to keep these. They are not good enough for me.
On some songs they sound flipping great!
On some songs they sound like dog poo!

So can I refund it back to the "rainforest" guys ?????????

EDIT:
PS - The EQ is set only on ACOUSTIC.

Im gonna have a look at the above suggested headphones,

What a disappointment these CX300's are :( :( :( :( :(

EDIT: I may have damaged them, but to be fair I've only used them properly no more than 3 times :( :(

James, it sounds the same.... But quieter.

But then I plugged the earphones into the comp. And play the same song and with the same EQ settings, it sounded the same. (EQ "preamp" setting on +12dB)
But then I adjusted the "pre-amp" settings by lowering it to 0dB. It sounded good. Bass was thumping but also clear at the same time. So how do I get this on my Ipod.

Whats the preamp option on my ipod? tell me its not the sound check thing, because I want that on, I like to listen to music loud.

thats right. its all down to the way apple have written their EQ software - poorly lol. when you apply eq on a sony or any other decent mp3 player, it might raise the bass and treble by 4db each for example. what it will then do is lower the overall signal level by 4db so that it doesnt cause signal clipping.

Apple though, they dont bother to lower the signal after the eq. so you are left with bass thats 4db above normal and what happens is if the bass on the original recording is near 0db (ie as loud as it can be recorded) then the apple tries to push past that maximum and pushes the signal in to clipping. the result is distortion even at very quiet levels - the signal is clipping even before its amplified.

silly apple.

Ohh what the heck. Maybe I should have got something other than an Ipod :confused:

So infact, its not really the earphone that is the problem, its down to the way ipod is setup by Apple? So how do I fix this? there must be way... (buying better earphones won't help much surely?)

Review #3

The headphones are GOOD. I listen to Itunes andthe bass is V. Nice bass. I listen to HIP HOP music.

But when I listen to the Ipod. The bass is distorted.

The sound quality (BASS) of the Ipod Classic 80gb is POOR. The bass it produces is RUBBISH. I kind of regret buying the IPOD.

I Should have got a Sony MP3
