As per the title: I've had enough with deleting data every week just to keep my HDD usable, and so I've invested in the 7200rpm 250GB Momentus from OcUK, and as soon as I've got a Torq 6 screwdriver from B&Q in the morning, I'll be following this guide to replace it.
So my question is: has anybody else done this? Is there anything I should keep an eye out for? Any common pitfalls?
My MBP has been my stolwart system for getting on for three years now, it hasn't missed a beat and has travelled tens of thousands of miles with me. Even after two years I still wouldn't swap it for any other laptop (even the new Unibody's - hock-tuey! *spits*) - I'm seriously scared about damaging it
(I think I've also got a year left of my Apple Care package, so I'll be voiding that too
)
Once it's installed I'll be triple booting Snow Leopard (40GB) / Windows 7 (170GB) / Ubuntu (30GB) with any luck
