Isopropanol

AFAIK there is a drink in Greece called Raki (sp?) its more or less the same and is brewed by locals. I Remeber walking round Crete and it was in plastic water bottles in the markets, we were warned not to buy it. 90% alcohol with brain damage.

Raki is Turkish but is very similar to Ouzo which is Greek. Both are anise-seed favour.

Never seen a 90% one though.

That Bulkan Vodka I mentioned you can get in most Revolution bars and is a stomach churning 88% and tastes rather peppery

thats the biggest load of nonsense ive heard, for a start vodka tastes rank and is made from potatoes and doesnt have an aniseed taste.

Lol. I think IPA is 100% but i am not entirely sure on this, correct me if im wrong though.

isopropanol is actually just alcohol

(the -ol ending gives it away)

not the alcohol used in "alcoholic drinks" thats ethanol iirc

nealry all the vodka we drink in the Uk is made from grain not spuds.

yeah i know i missed the obvious, one has a chemical aniseed taste and green food colouring. I was just saying its not really the Real thing, like tesco value cola. that gives a bad impression of a decent drink. But at £4.50 a shot (london lol) the british varieties is a ponces drink, in a bar or pub at least :O

i think my current favourite is the "Trenet Noir" absinthe, followed closely by the Fruko range

the EU limit for Thujone content is 35mg/Kg and if you want to buy some of that - this is a very nice one

you will not hallucinate drinking absinthe ,this has been discussed before many times ,you will die from alcohol poisoning long before you get poison monkeys chasing you down the street ,thujone is usually classed as a narcotic analgesic as it binds to the thc receptors in the brain (same as cannabis) ,the thujone content is controlled to a certain amount per liter ,if you want original absinthe you have to make it yourself

*forgot to add the words 'absinth' and 'absinthe' are just different countrys spellings for the drink.

it's not at all dodgy. in fact "La Fée" is one of the (if not THE) most reputable sellers of absinthe in the world.
