Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2012, Yas Marina - Race 18/20

Not really a Kimi fan but he drove well. Don't like the "**** off and leave me alone" attitude on the radio though.

Alonso? curious why it took him until lap 50 to get on the pace. Needed an extra couple of laps and he probably would have taken Kimi.

Vettel.. very lucky and the team ran the stops very well to minimise their effect, it mean he didn't have to pass the quick guys in the mid field.
Safety cars and several cars crashing also helped. I still don't think he did anything to dispel the "can't overtake" myth. He hit Senna, tried to pass Grosjean but got it wrong, letting Grosjean drive around the outside, then has another go and makes an illegal pass. Its not exactly the calibre of a x2 WDC imho, likewise the rant on the radio when he made a mistake behind Ricciardo was uncool and completely at odds with the "nice guy" image.

Shout for Kamui - good drive there.
Pastor put in a solid drive, I think a slightly earlier stop would have helped him.
Di Resta finally got a reasonable run. Need to see the first corner bit again to see what happened with him and Hulk.

Lewis must be wondering what the hell he has to do to get a break, race was his, no doubt.
Button ? didn't excel, good enough but not stellar.
I think McLaren need to seriously buck up their ideas - reliability has been awful this year. Could easily be a midfield team with Lewis going.

Grosjean - In the wars! Rosberg incident was a bit clumsy, but Rosberg surely knew he wasn't going to get through there. The retirement incident was not his fault, up until that time he was making a good recovery.

Perez - The whole Di Resta/Grosjean thing was initiated by him shoving Di Resta off track, then running wide and rejoining in an unsafe manner. Needs to improve his driving for next year, I wonder if there is a bit of ego going on ? since he got signed by McLaren he's had some bad luck but his driving has been rather scrappy.

Webber - WTF ? was it mad max day or something ? Cutting in on Pastor made him look like a rookie, rejoining the track in the Massa incident was dangerous, felt a bit sorry for Massa in that.

I think someone needs to have a word with Narain, as I see it he realised engine had gone and came off throttle on the racing line, never a good idea really. Thankfully Nico was okay.

I honestly think his engine let go at the exact wrong moment, bit unfortunate really but I don't think he can be blamed for that. He wouldn't have known that at the time and had very very little time to do much about it.
