Surprised race control didn't get the marshalls to clean the outside of T9 exit during the gap between sessions. Every time a car gets near the kerb out there it throws up a shower of debris and carbon fibre.

I think they have been under manning marshalls since 2020. I have observed now it can take an age to get things cleared up as if they first have to travel to that section of the track.

As it happens I think they were going soft for quali anyway, but that is a massive setback for Max.

The medium is the better race tyre so to wreck a new set is huge.

Well it was a pretty substantial lock up, it would be hard to do that and not flat spot it. The question is whether they ever intended to use mediums.

Red bull on the weaker strategy, at least after the start. Mercedes 1-2 could and hopefully will scupper that.
