Learnt from his father a man whose whole F1 career can be condensed into a fireball.

That's a bit harsh. Jos had some great drives, including one of the best of the whole decade.

His problem was a lack of consistency and, probably due to his personality, not a massive amount for sponsorship of the teams he tended to end up in.

He was highly rated before his 1994 debut, but I guess your F1 career starting in a car shared with two other drivers while the sister car won the title probably wasn't the most encouraging start to a career.

Funnily enough if you drive both makes you find it's drivers of other manufacturer's vehicles that behave in that way.
