If Hamilton stood his ground and crashed with Max all them times he took evasive action Bottas would be world champion
He or his team mate may do exactly do that next season.

I still don't see how Merc will be able argue that the race should be classified on the penultimate lap. Wouldn't a court of appeal simply void the race classification altogether?

Really doesn't matter as it will prove the whole thing was a sham championship.
Red bull are the kings of in race lobbying, Merc are not great but they not even close to RB's level of lobbying.
Really all radio from teams to RD needs to be stopped, not just TP's.
Yeah it works both ways, it's great they seem to have banned it, then we also can't have silly allegations of favourism.
Absolutely, but from a spectator sport, it's dull like that.Unfortunately I think history proves that what Merc did was correct for them (in Lewis's titles). There can only be one WDC, from a teams point of view why should they have two drivers risking it all battling each other, when they can have one gunning for the title and one supporting. It make perfect sense. The only reason other teams don't have it is because you need someone 99% as good as the first guy, yet happy to to yield. Anyone 99% as good as the primary driver will want to be challenging for the WDC and therein lies the problem.
.
That's your opinion. He's still the greatest driver of all time. Whether you disagree that his antics make him otherwise is irrelevant. Stats ARE everything in sport, if they're not then you're just basing your opinion by fanboy emotion (which isn't a bad thing, but it is what it is).No, what I mean is that he's willing to put his car in situations that force the other driver to back off or there will be an accident. That's not just taking risks, it's driving dangerously, irresponsibly and far too aggressively. He's an unsafe driver and in years gone past, he'd have killed either himself or someone else by his actions.
Statistics don't prove anything, there's no way Schumacher was the greatest of all time. When he was still racing, he was known as the arrogant cheating German in our house and that simply hasn't changed.
Hamilton has become a master of his craft, few (Max) can match him. George still has a decade behind Hamilton to learn. Hamilton will always be ahead showing how it's done.I fully expect the opposite, I think he'll push Lewis to drive harder. Given the totally new car aero and wheels etc. it will show who are the great drivers, as those are the ones who can drive cars that aren't perfectly tuned to their exacting standards and still do well in it.
To hit on taking risks, I think it is fine to be aggressive, but not so much so you end up being unsafe or causing your competitors to DNF, there has to be a line somewhere. The reintroduction of gravel traps instead of run off areas, and curbs that destroy your car would be a good start.

Conspiracy theory time -
Was the reason that Perez was suddenly and randomly retired to ensure that Merc still won the constructors whatever happened on the restart?
If we go full in on thinking up some crazy conspiracies, maybe that's the deal that was made between Red Bull and the FIA.
Well he can't do worse than Bottas on a race day, that's for sure!

They're talking about Schumacher...Max is the greatest driver of all time? By what metric
Yes, in a better car with no competition. Its hardly comparable reallyHasn't Lewis beaten him in overall stats?
Read aboveGreatest driver of all time .. LOL The stats tell a different story : https://www.statsf1.com/en/statistiques/pilote.aspx
