Yup because there is no decent large consultancy to turn to ;pVolcs said:Yeah, they only work for 89 of the Fortune Global 100 - they must be rubbish.
Dear Hiren
RE: Technology Consulting - Graduate Entry Level
I'd like to congratulate you on your success in your first round interview with Accenture.
We are in the process of trying to arrange your second round interview.
A member of our recruiting department will be in touch shortly to arrange a mutually convenient time for the interview.
Yours sincerely

themistry said:Well im sure thats true, but then Accenture has 3 divisions, which one is your friend in? Secondly, im not saying its 100%, but certainly a 1st gets you noticed, you have to try harder with a 2.1 and then a 2.2 you might as well forget it.
The entry requirements are a 2.1 anyway, they bin 2.2 unless you have some extraordinary tallent.
Not only have I worked at Acc, I worked with a graduate recruiter and knew 2 very well also, this is simply passing on information.
Dont shoot the messenger, but i'd bet on it being accurate.

Mad old tory said:Yeah what you've said is basically what I was trying to say, albeit I didn't put it as well. The companies look for brains, but that's not the only thing they are after.

I wouldnt agree, for 2 reasons
a) we use to use them for customer support as they required 24/7 4hour fix, you were lucky if they responded in 4 hours
b) everytime they went out to our customers I was present and the techies I spoke to were not happy with the way they were treated by management.

Vanilla said:As far as I am aware no one has a 24/7/4 fix. Most reputable companies can provide 24/7 x 4 hour response, but not fix. It's not possible.
