Do you feel you deserve the £3750 for whiplash, did it mean you were off work for long enough to warrant the money your being offered? If no, then it's a scam, if yes, then it's probably still a scam.

Damn I hate these company's.

It is random. They spam guess numbers and hope people reply because it then costs them a fair bit from what I've read.

Forward it to the spam number provided by your network provider, they'll sort out the messages.

I once had a salesman come up to me and say "have you been in an accident recently sir", I replied with "well I fell down the stairs in my own home a few weeks back, can I sue myself and charge the insurance company"

He just went silent and walked away.

I've got a whiplash claim going through atm and its nowhere near that high.

Although I've been honest, and not milked it.

Option 2 then I suppose. I've never been in the situation, but unless I was left seriously out of pocket (unable to work for a while) or permanently disabled I don't think I'd 'put a claim in'.

I assume the claim is meant to reimburse you for losses incurred? Well I don't see any, especially if you're basing your claim entirely on the fact that you had a sore neck for a few days.

I suppose the short answer is, 'I'm honest'.

I would put a claim in, could do with the money tbh, pay for a new key and maybe some liability insurance for my cash in hand business.

The reason my insurance has pretty much stayed the same, or gone up for the last two years.... is people like you sir.

Please do spend my extra premium and other peoples money wisely. I enjoy paying for your sore neck.

I've been involved in three crashes, none of them my fault, passenger in all of them and not once did my sore neck, or the spineboard I incurred for one of them prompt me to claim some compensation.

So to all you milk it men, thanks for my insurance price basically increasing on a group four car! Much love

I've had some scummy company ring me at home numerous times offering to get me compensation for an accident I apparently had last year. I've also had some stupid energy provider switching company keep ringing me, and after some investigation appears to be caused by some of the insurance comparison websites selling peoples numbers onto third party scum bags.

Claiming for temporary and minor injuries that don't incapacitate you is for scummy ****** only. Doesn't really surprise me that you would advocate it though.

I got the same message, down to the amount even, a week or two after a motorbike bumped into the side of my car in a car park.

They've got the number off your insurance company, or are a sister company.

Ah, I see. You've never suffered whiplash then.

For the record, my accident wasn't all that serious and I was still having restricted movement, "sore neck" and regular pins and needles in my hands up until a few weeks ago (Accident was in June) and they are still evident now (albeit getting more intermittent), and that is with doctors, medication and physiotherapy to try and rectify it. Imagine what it would be like left untreated?

My Grandmother who was in a far more serious accident is still suffering a year later. Both whiplash, and both a bit more than a "sore neck for a few days".
