Accident

Hmmm, bit bent that. These things happen, write it off to experience and move on, no one was hurt and hopefully everyone agrees you weren't driving like a tool.

Well, at least you weren't half-hearted about crashing. Made a good an' proper mess of your front clip, hasn't it?

Main thing is no-one got hurt. The car can be replaced.

That is properly nasty, I'm glad everyone's alright, could have easily turned out worse for you.

Unfortunately, I can't see this working out well for you. A tuned Toyota Supra with decals and a large spoiler doesn't sit pretty in most people's eyes. Obviously I can't comment on what happened, but it won't take a giant leap for most people to immediately say you were driving the car beyond your ability, even if you weren't.

Chin up, onwards and upwards mate.

the road looks quite greasy, the white line is probably what did it. not surprised you flew over the central reservation.

hopefully others won't jump to conclusions :)

Fingers crossed ey. This is my main worry at the moment. I can only give my version of the events and the rest is down to perception.

Jesus pretty big accident there! Glad to hear you're ok. Hopefully the inquiry will not lead to anything further if what you say is true just one of those things will have to put down to experience.

Damn. I'm glad you're okay, although it is a shame about the car. I'm not even that clued up on MKIVs but even I know that UK Spec TTs are rather special :(.

As somebody mentioned above, unfortunately I cannot see this going in your favour with you driving such a high profile car and "losing" it in such a fashion. Did the police make any hints that they were going to charge you with anything?

Yeah MKIV TT Manual no less :( *cries*

The officer who was doing initial interviews didn't suggest anything, no, just breathalysed, said to take documents down to local station and took a brief summary of what happened. Said there would be full statements/interviews with all involved as per standard procedure to assess the situation over the next couple of days.

Few weekends back driving back from Dorset 12pmish following someone doing 30mph, sunny etc but had been icy overnight. Went to overtake on a NSL. Was being gentle with the loud pedal as the wet patches in the road may have been black ice very hard to tell so with plenty of straight road and the fact that the other driver was doing 30mph, did not need to be agressive with the accelerator. I slipped immediately as I was passing. Fortunately being FWD, it did not amount to anything but a lesson for me to drive slower not assuming that midday sun had not melted all the ice for the rest of the 3hour journey home :)

Glad you and everyone is are okay, cars can be replaced :)

Another UK spec gone, with the number that have left for Europe there cant be more than a handfull left :( At least you walked away from it, thats a nasty hit!
