Acer XF270HU - 27-inch 1440P IPS 144MHz Freesync Monitor

No motion blur at present.

Although, I maybe wrong, but no current IPS Freesync monitors have blur reducing tech?

The IPS has not "blew me away" as I expected but not sure what I expected?

One thing I will say is I LOVE Freesync. Arma 3 I love, but the engine is not without faults. Playing this at 50 FPS but it seems to be butter smooth? I AM IN HEAVEN.

I am going to get a TN and see what the difference is and send back the one I do not want.

One thing I have found which makes me think this monitor is rather cool is this:

Regarding Freesync, the manual states the monitor can do 23hz low end with hdmi 2.0, and lists 23-144hz. It's 40-144hz for dp2.

I found this:

On the graphics front any Radeon card outputting over HDMI 1.2, or later, will have the ability to support FreeSync over HDMI, albeit with an updated driver.

AMD says it has worked with leading scaler and monitor manufacturers to bring FreeSync to the masses.

A number of publicly-available gaming-focussed monitors already have the appropriate HDMI scaler built-in for FreeSync support, although they're not currently marketed this way, so the monitor manufacturer will have to do some minor testing to ensure full compatibility.

Makes me wonder if the ASUS MG279Q has a similiar setup and the "hack" to unlock the lower end is simply manipulating the scaler to do what it is designed to do?

Possible, in terms of a TN panel you can't go wrong with the BenQ 2307z I've heard.

I'm interested to hear how the new TN panel is in comparison to this.

Anyone able to get this white, cloud effect when viewing side on...

Sure.

Just wish we could get a 1440p 144hz freesync monitor that didn't have inherant issues, I don't see anyone complaining about the gsync alternatives.

I wonder how long until something decent hits the market that ticks all the boxes, I'm dying to upgrade my 7 year old BenQ.

How are overclockers on replacing these if they have backlight bleed? I am considering buying one but the backlight bleed issue is putting me off. If OCUK are good about replacement I may consider it.
