Yea :p .

Also gives a 7fps performance hit and brings it down to 8800GTS level, I guess with 16xAA, since SS/16xAA was uber lag on 8800GTS, but 16xAA was about same as 4xAAA with 2900.

what mode were you running to get the facial hair mods?

i just tried it again on 2xAA with AAA set to performance and it does nothing like that to the guys face. :confused:
 
noticed one thing, when i put AA to 4x there is massive quality increase when AAA is enabled but there is a largish performance hit and even larger when 6xAA is enabled with AAA.

looks like for proper transparency AA ati needs to sort out that EATM, or ETAM feature so it can be enabled on its own like nvidias mulisample transparency AA mode.

Indeed it is very good, but games like TDU have a 7fps hit, I guess Adaptive AA still needs to be worked on, but in TDU, CSS those both have problem, TDU, makes that guy grow a beard and puts a dark layer over the GPS, in CSS you get purple crap everywere, allthough it does look pretty cool in both instances :D

I noticed in Tomb Raider you zoom right to her face and when she breathes, the FPS drops down to like 30 for some reason coz of the water vapour, I just tried a closed beta of a game called Project Torque, and the slightest smoke causes a FPS drop for some reason, so smoke needs working on.

Apart from that, I dont have a problem with AA anymore if 4x AA runs smooth coz as drivers improve it bet it will get even better, I mean 4xAAA is good enough now, no performance drop and it's just like 16xAA quality :D

Your lucky AA doesnt want to work for me in CCC when i apply it doesnt seem to work in game :/.

This is in Dirt, 2142 and CSS/HL2 Lost coast.
 
kk its annoying because i wanted to use edge detect aa in CSS/hl2 :(. may just reinstall the drivers.

edit: reinstalled and still didnt work. :(
