Lux is the CEO of Genii Capital who own the Renault F1 team.

Renault Sport Technologies are a seperate company and produce the engines etc.

I don't think force india have any link to Renault, the F1 team or the engines (they're Mercedes still?)

There were some paddock rumours about Sutil being linked to a Renault drive next year, hence my comment.

I seem to recall Eddie was cozy with the guy that ran the original Shanghai GP operation who turned out to be a bit dodgy. Dunno if that's enough for him to be discouraged...

Was there ever a story about why Brundle always avoided going to Hungary too? Think he went last year but most seasons he always took a 'holiday' that weekend.

Hungarian GP tends to be slap bang in the middle of August. In all likelihood he was on holiday with the family.

It's a bloody awful track anyway!

This was in the days of a 16 race season. If I only had to work 16 weekends a year I'd probably be able to fit my holidays in at times when I'm not supposed to be doing my job.

It was written into his contract that he could miss a race or two so he could still compete in sportscars at Le Mans. Why not use it to take the kids on holiday during yhe summer holidays? There's no great conspiracy about it.
