Adrian Sutil involved in bar fight with Renault official

Surely this wont go anywhere. The Sutil hasn't been summoned to China to face charges, and even he was, he could just refuse to go, he's hardly going to be extradited.

No other court in the world cold hold a criminal case as the alleged incident didn't happen in their territory.
 
If he really glassed someone I hope he gets tried and punished for it. I like the guy as a race driver but there's some things you shouldn't get away with.

I wonder which countries have extradition treaties with China? I presume there's no chance he'll go back there if they do press charges there, which means he will miss at least one race a season.

If It ends up in court, he will go. It'll be a slap on the wrist. If he doesn't go willingly, next year they could just arrest him on entry.
Lawyers will probably either get the charges droped anyway. Bit of comp or something.
 
In China they do funny things with the burden of proof. No doubt with his wealth and celebrity, his lawyers will get him off. I presume there is no need to appear in person.

I certainly wouldn't be willing to go there to face a court hearing. I'd just not go back to the country in future. A bit like Roman Polanski - lol
 
Just one race a season, wouldn't be a big issue to miss it and the reserve driver fill in.

Look how many times HRT switched about drivers. RBR used to do it to with Klien and Liuzzi.

I'm sure it won't come to that, but it's an option.
