Views on this little device? I work for the purple shirts so I get 10% discount. Im after a browsing tablet as my iph4 screen is just too small. Going to have more of a play tomorrow.

Nice little tablet once you get one of the roms on it as it doesn't come with the Android market as default, then get yourself something like Launcher Pro to customize the toolbar buttons and your set for good mobile device.

A friend commented it was a bit heavier than the iPad 2 though haven't used the iPad myself and was okay for general use/mobile gaming. Is a decent budget tablet though I think the Vega 2 is due out "soon".

The poor screen kills it as a general web browsing device for me. Hopefully the £199 Archos G9 80 can remedy this in September.

How about a BB Playbook, good build quality for £200-£300? Or wait until the HP TouchPad bombs in a few months?

(Both have decent browsers that support flash)

The screen was what really put me off. Poor interface can be easily fixed, bad viewing angles and colours cannot. Shame really. But might not bother you.

Once I get into work tomorrow i'm going to give it a better look over. Seems to bea hidden gem this device especially considering specs and modding available.

Shame they compromised on the screen. Probably to get tegra 2

Great device for the price, viewing angles in portrait when web browsing is weak.. although it does not diminish its abilities when reading ebooks.

In landscape the screen is not so bad.

Honeycomb rom is very good and the spec is excellent.

worth it for the price.

well i've sold my netbook which pays for this pretty much. I just want something I can pick up and surf. Flash is important to me. Im bored of the apple interface now having had an ip4.

screen aint brilliant thats why its costs what it does but its good enough for browsing. I got the wife one and she loves it. And it does Flash

no brainer for 180.

Fair enough, why not try the asus transformer? Its a little bit more and can be found for about 370 or so online or maybe cheaper.

I have the Advent Vega and love it, yes the veiwing angle is a bit poor, but you work with this and as a web browsing machines, its great...

First thing to do is get on over to XDA forums, there are a loads of mods and a a few custom Kernels and roms to play with, and they make the Vega a far better user experiance

I use mine for Web and Music videos.. plays HD vids just fine...
