I think you're taking too much importance to yourself. Sure, you created the thread, but it's pretty much moved on to a discussion of how dated WoW looks by today's standards, and you shouldn't feel offended just because people disagreed with the reason you created the thread.

At least, I assume that's what you're offended about. I can't tell, because you've thrown all your toys out of the pram.

This is a public forum, I'm entitled to my opinion in any of the threads posted...

I was interested about the mods until I then realised it still looked pap.

Maybe if you'd done this:

Don't play WoW, but is it possible to take a screenshot with the mods running, then log out and disable mods. Then enable normal in game options to max and take another screen shot of the same scene?

Hopefully light levels won't have changed too much between the time it takes to do all that.

Also, do the mods affect other player appearance?

May have worked out better. Then again, probably would have provoked more of an outraged response. I think for WoW you either love the graphics or not, rather like Borderlands - either it's done fantastically and adds a new level of depth to the gameplay, or it scars corneas and makes gamers furious. It's more a question of your personal taste than an objective ruling on whether the quality is still valid 6 years on.

Personally, I think it looks pap. That's my opinion. LotRo looks much better, and I don't think there are mods out for it.

I can understand if someone says the game looks like pap, and you feeling annoyed..if you were on the team that created the game. But (forgive me if you were) you're not, so people are entitled to their own opinions.
