I have recently been building a rather fast rig, but still have two western digital 500gb drives in there which cost around £40 a few years back...
Safe to say they are not ideal, nor are they raided.
I want a big performance jump. I game on my rig and have an aversion to the windows startup logo (would like fast boot times).
Do I go SSD, or get one or two raptors (two would be in RAID 0), or just raid what I have, back up to my external drive often, and wait till SSDs truly go mainstream?
Oh, and the low cap SSDs aren't really an option; my steam directory alone is 200gb and if I cant fit that on, there is no point, so 300gb is what I need.
