Advice Needed!

If I were you, I'd go for an Xbox 360 premium + GTA4 which can be had as a bundle for £189.99, plus a VGA cable (£15-20?) and play on your existing PC monitor in HD :) You'll get a free month's live subscription etc too.
 
I was thinking about getting a 360 premium but after weighing up the costs its nearly the same as a PS3. I would need the wireless adaptor and live, so thats near enough the price of a PS3. Then theres reliability and the noise it makes :S. Something just keeps telling me to get a PS3 :P
 
Its not really about cash, its just what i feel will last longer. PS3 seems more powerful and has a few exclusives which im looking forward to. Also the Xbox has been out for ages now. Xbox premium+ gta4, gold membership live, wireless adaptor comes to £280. PS3 will cost £10 more and has built in wifi and free internet. Although all my friends have the 360, so I will feel lonely lol.
 
This is such a hard decision to make, hate hard desisions. PS3 has GT5 MGS4 Resident Evil 5, Time Crisis and probably loads more to come. THe 360 has excellent online play and a nice controller. But theres not many games that jump out at me. Halo i've played to death at friends houses and thats the only exclusive that really seems worth getting it imo.

Sure it would be good being able to play with my friends, but i've managed on my own playing on PC :). Also I havent had a dream about the 360 and I have for the PS3. Sad as it is. Ill probably use blueray in the future when I get an HD TV so that is another reason for PS3. PS3 just seems the business, reliable looks good and in the future Home.

Really think a PS3 is for me :P
 
Lol it is quite weird. Been on the console forum every day getting all the facts about PS3 and the 360. Probably been on the forums too long :). Just thinking about opening the draw and seeing the PS3 makes me feel good lol. If the 360 was in there i'd open it and feel meh. If i was given a 360 i'd love it and wouldnt want a PS3, but if im going to buy one its got to be the PS3 :)
 
You can get a 360 + GTAIV for £200, you won't regret it.

Think there's also a PS3 + GTAIV package around is there not? If you want one of those.

Just buy a 22" PC monitor and hook the console to that (I think you have to buy a PS2 VGA cable for the PS3, or a MS VGA Cable for the 360) looks fantastic on my Samsung 226BW.

I'm sure you'll be able to save up another £200-400 by the time xmas comes. (And already have the monitor!)

Im going to get the PS3 and GT5 bundle which also includes a free HD cable. Then ill get a dualshock 3 controller and GTA4. I cant really justify 2 consoles lol :(. But i can justify getting an HD TV soon after the PS3 :D
 
Well after much thought I bought an HDTV yesterday, Sony Bravia 40", 1080p, 24hz true blu-ray play back, 16:000 contrast ratio. Pre-ordered a PS3 40gb with GTA IV picking it up Tuesday morning.

Dont regret it a single bit. It's awesome. Hopefully Nvidia or ATI will tempt me to build a PC this crimbo.
