Hello everyone,
I am new here and hope to get the answers that I'm looking for; I've looked around and found some topics very useful.

I am looking to build a PC and was wondering if I could get some advice about what parts would I need and how much it will cost me.
The type of PC I'm looking for is a system fairly powerful(able to play some games, not high resolution or full details), with the possibility to run it as a media centre, so that I can connect it to a tv, and using wireless keyboard and mouse be able to watch movies etc on the TV. Other than this, the PC will be used for normal stuff that I believe can be easily accomplished if the top requirements are fulfilled :)

Do you guys this it will be possible to achieve this type of system under the budged I've mentioned? what parts will I need ?

PS: I basically need everything, case, ram, harddriver etc (I don't need the OS and screen)

Thank you

Weclome,

This is my thought on the matter.

The trinity chips have really good on board GPU's.

These are made even better by using fast (2400mhz in this case) RAM.

I picked an ITX case so it is small and out the way (when using it as a media centre).

The case has its own inbuilt PSU, with enough power for the system.

The case requires a slimline drive (and cable).

You could upgrade it by adding an SSD or upgrade to the A10 (extra £25-£30).

I would definitely go with an A10, preferably a Richland one, and an SSD is always nice to have. Doomed posted a good spec there though!

The richland is too pricey considering the very slight performance increase over the 5800k..

For the money the A8 is very very good..

A SSD would be ideal but smash the budget.

Thank's a lot , I definately want to consider an SSD as well; I have it on my laptop and installed an OS on it, the speed increase is visible noticeable.
How much extra would it cost me to have an ssd? 10-25?

I've just noticed that the case has some usb ports but not an HDMI port, is it there one with hdmi port as well that can be used instead?

I think so, the build looks pretty good, the specs are good enough that will allow me to play games (if I ever decide to) with a discreet performance and will be more than good to run high definition movies and perform other daily tasks.

How do I install the ssd ,I don't see anything on the motherboard that I can connect it too

Does this motherboard need a graphic card?

Seemingly you won't need a graphics card if the CPU has onboard graphics. To connect the SSD you just need a SATA power cable plugged into the SSD and a normal SATA cable going into the motherboard, exactly the same as a normal HDD. Do that and you should be good to go :)

(Btw, the onboard graphics may be pretty pathetic.)

well I have bought all the stuff suggested by doomedspeed ,does that mean that I have on board graphics?

I have set and installed everything now, but it does not turn on :/

I have plugged 3 cables to the motherboard in total that are power connectors

1: JPWR1 is the long cable that goes to the motherboard, however it does fit all the whole of that socket, 4 are left which I have plugged with another 4 pin cable that was close to the 20 pin cable.
2: JPWR2 this one is a 4 pin cable that goes on the other side and I have plugged this too.

After doing this, I have plugged the main cable to the switch but no luck. I have also made sure the power/reset swich are plugged to the right connectors

What can be the problem?
